Thinklogical's industrial strength Camera Fiber-Link Dual-Base Extension System - CFL-5 is a fiber optic extender for the Camera-Link standard for high performance digital cameras and frame grabbers. The CFL-5 transmits images up to 1000 meters (3840 feet) without any kind of amplifiers or repeaters in between. Small enough to mount in cramped environments the CFL-5 fully supports two unsynchronized base or dual-base Camera-Link cameras. The CFL-5 receives video data from each camera and converts the data into optical signals and sends them to the CFL-5 transmitter. The transmitter in turn converts the optical signals into video data and sends them out to one dual-base frame grabber (PC).
