The Minicom 0SU51059 is a PS/2 remote interface connection cable (RICC) for the Minicom DX KVM management system. The Minicom's DX system uses the X-RICC dongles to connect computers to the DX Central unit. The Minicom 0SU51059 can be located up to 330 feet away from the DX Central unit.
The X-RICC (Remote Interface Cable Connector) replaces the traditional coax cable connecting the server to the KVM switch.
X-RICC is a "dongle" that connects to the video, keyboard, and mouse ports of the server.
Standard CAT 5/6/7 cable runs between the X-RICC's RJ45 jack to the back of the KVM switch, significantly reducing cable bulk in the rack. This CAT 5 connectivity technology allows the user to determine the desired length of the cable running from the server to the KVM switch, (up to 330 feet).
