Independence day, every day. Use these ServSwitchT solutions to connect either 2 independent KVM users to 16 PC-only or PC and Sunr CPUs. Need to expand and add more CPUs? Use the optional Matrix Expansion Module to expand to as many as 1000 CPUs!
You'll find a Matrix ServSwitch is the perfect multiuser KVM switch. With it, each user has total and independent access to any of the connected CPUs or servers on the system. For even more convenience, you can add a local monitor to each switch location.
Multipoint access for those on the go. A Matrix ServSwitch is ideal for busy Information Systems (IS) departments where two or four people may need simultaneous access to a number of CPUs. If you need more than one access point for one IS manager, this switch is still the answer. With a 2-user model, you can put one keyboard, monitor, and mouse in the computer room and a second set in the office. This setup provides quick access to all connected CPUs, no matter where you go. Need additional points of access for, say, two other members of your IS office staff? Then order a 4-user Matrix ServSwitch.
Switch, switch, switch! The Matrix ServSwitch enables you to switch among servers two different ways. First, you can use the built-in on-screen menu system. Name your servers and select them from easy-to-use menus. Just click to select the right CPU. You can also switch via simple keyboard commands.
The 2-user Matrix switches also offer switching via front-panel push buttons.
Whatever your choice, these switches have the quick and easy switching techniques you need.
In living color. Our advanced on-screen display technology is the best in the industry. The resolution is crisp and clear at 1600 x 1280. The easy-to-use, easy-to-read on-screen display features a modern, intuitive design with pop-up selection boxes. You have a choice of six different fonts and you can configure the screen's color scheme and select different screen savers.
What's the password? Only you know. A user-defined ID and password keep prying eyes out of your network. You can also restrict user access to specific CPUs. You can even keep tabs on who is accessing your system, forcing all users to enter an ID log-in and a password. An on-screen display gives helpful messages to indicate the status of your connections, which can be set up in four different modes. In view mode, a control station's monitor shows a CPU's activity, but the keyboard and mouse are disabled and no changes can be made. In share mode, the control stations gain access to CPUs on a first-come, first-served basis. Once a control station relinquishes use of a CPU, a time-out period follows. After that, another control station can access that particular CPU. In control mode, one control station can take exclusive control of a CPU. Other stations can access the CPU but cannot control it in any way. In private mode, one control station can take exclusive control over a CPU.
Virtual connections. Don't worry about keyboard and mouse compatibility or system lockups. The Matrix ServSwitch gives you full keyboard and mouse emulation. Most CPUs require a keyboard to be attached in order to boot up, or a mouse must be connected so the mouse driver can load properly.
Not so with the Matrix ServSwitch. All versions enable simultaneous, automatic booting of all connected CPUs by sensing any computer powering up and emulating the keyboard and mouse signals as if the peripherals were directly connected to each CPU.
Up-to-date support and features. Flash memory enables you to download upgrades and load new firmware into the Matrix switches, so you can add new features or support new equipment.
For maximum support with the newest equipment, choose the Multiplatform Matrix ServSwitch for PC and Sun. This ServSwitch supports USB connections and works with newer PC and Sun operating systems, including Windowsr 98, Windows Me, Windows 2000, Windows NTr, and Windows XP; Sun Blade and Sunfire; and Macintoshr operating systems OS 9 and OS X for Macr G3 and G4 computers.
The Multiplatform Matrix ServSwitch for PC and Sun also features serial emulation. |
