The StarTech.com 4 Port UTP Video Splitter allows up to 5 (1 local and 4 remote) monitors to be connected to a single PC. The video signal is sent to remote monitors over standard 4 pair Category 5 UTP cable using RJ45 connectors and supports distances of up to 820 Ft. At each remote monitor an ST124UTPR receiver or a ST124UTPRR long range receiver (each sold separately) is required to convert the signal from the UTP cable back into VGA video for the monitor. 2 different receivers are available: A standard receiver works to 320 Ft, and a long range receiver works to 820 Ft. Typical applications are: airports, bus depots, factories, or any large buildings where video needs to be delivered at long distances.
