The modular switch features two internal cooling fans to provide ventilation. A 19" rackmount kit is included. Because of the high data throughput achieved by Gigabit Ethernet, the maximum distance for the Gigabit module over standard 62.5/125-µm multimode fiber is 220 meters. However, you can push this distance into the 400-500 meter range by using 50-micron fiber optic cable.
