The ServSwitchT Fiber Optic KVM Extender enables you to send KVM signals from a PC computer up to 0.6 mile (1 km) to your workstation. But this extender has more going for it than how far it transmits signals. Much more.

First, your data is secure. Fiber cable doesn't radiate signals and is extremely difficult to tap. If the cable is tapped, it will leak light and cause the entire connection to go down. Fiber cable is immune to lightning strikes, power surges, and EMI/RFI. That makes this extender perfect for electrically noisy and industrial settings!

The extender enables dual access for a single user. You can have a monitor, keyboard, and mouse connected directly to the computer on the transmitting end of the link and a KVM console on the receiving end.

The ACS335A-AS version enables the transmission of full-duplex serial signals up to 19.2 kbps as well as bidirectional stereo audio signals. Its serial port enables you to connect either one serial device requiring hardware handshaking or-using breakout cable-up to three simple 2-wire serial devices (TX/RX only). Connect a set of speakers and a microphone to its receiver unit for multimedia capability.
