The convenience of remote access.
Because you can access the Power View Enhanced PDU remotely through its HTML interface, you can access it through your Web browser and control it with a simple menu interface. Up to 17 users can access the unit simultaneously.
Reach out and power up.
No more late-night trips to reboot stubborn servers. Now you can power on, power off, or reboot all your rackmount devices from home. Control power to each outlet or group of outlets and switch an entire group at once.
Remote power monitoring, too.
The Power View Enhanced PDU measures and reports amperage draw over the entire circuit. You can track the amp load through the same remote connection you use to control the outlets.
Environmentally sensitive.
With the addition of the optional Environmental Monitor, your Power View Enhanced PDU also reports on conditions inside the cabinet.
The Environmental Monitor includes one Temperature and Humidity Probe to monitor your cabinet s internal temperature, enabling you to power on your cabinet s fans when it overheats.
The Water Sensor Probe detects water from sprinkler systems or other sources.
The Environmental Monitor also supports contact-closure sensors from other manufacturers, so you can add sensors for other conditions (for instance, to monitor the opening and closing of cabinets). For details, contact our FREE Tech Support.
Tight security.
The Power View Enhanced PDU comes with one predefined administrative user account. You can create up to 128 accounts, each with access to its own outlets and commands. All accounts support username and password protection. There are four defined user privilege levels: Administrator, User, On-Only, and View-Only.
Carries a heavy load.
The PDU supports a robust 20 amps across 8 outlets. When you power on the PDU, it powers each outlet sequentially with a two-second delay between outlets. This power sequencing staggers individual loads, eliminating sudden power surges that can trip circuit breakers.
Rugged chassis.
The heavy-duty steel enclosure rackmounts horizontally in any standard 19" rack and takes only 1U of rack space. A retention bracket provides support for the plugs, relieving stress on power cords. |
