What is a Video Extender?
Video extenders are used to extend the distance of video signals beyond its limits using inexpensive CAT5 (CAT5e, CAT6 work as well) cables. This allows you to place monitors and displays up to 1000ft away from the signal source (be it a computer, DVD Player or a projector).

The extender works by converting the signal of a video card into a signal that can be transmitted down one of these CAT5 cables. When it reaches the other end, another component of the extender converts the signal sent through the CAT5 cable into a signal the monitor can understand and use to make the desired image.

CAT5 Video Extenders Applications:
  • Churches: You can use CAT5 Video Extenders to send the signal from a computer or a DVD player higher up to a projector.
  • Concert halls and Arenas
  • Conference Rooms
  • Digital Signage Applications

We have a wide variety of these extenders to meet your every need. Short extenders or long distance ones, whatever you need, we have it. Just look through our Video Extender section to find what you need, or contact us for help finding the video extender of your dreams!
